Gone Fishin' Birdhouse Review

(More customer reviews)This style of bird house was chosen because of the top hanger so it can be hung from a tree branch. The materials used as the price would suggest are fairly cheap, but the main frame is solidly stapled. The glued on decorative fringes probably will not last much weathering, but I doubt if the tenants will mind. The only problem is there is no way to get at the inside to clean out old nests.
Overall, a favorable purchase, a little better than I expected for the price.

Millet Spray Holder Review

(More customer reviews)When I first saw this contraption, I was skeptical; but since I got it for $1.99, I figured if it didn't work I wouldn't be out much. This was a nice surprise. I was expecting it to be blue, but the one I got is a pale yellow. At first, my budgies, Jake and Stella didn't pay much attention to it. Honestly, I think Jake may have been a little afraid of it. When there was no activity with the holder after a few hours, I tried a new tactic. This thing works much better if you cram two millet sprays into it instead of one. It pushes the sprays up against the sides of the basket and makes access to the seeds much easier. Once they get the hang of eating out of it, the holder works great. It also solves the problem of Stella ripping the sprays apart for sheer entertainment. She would tear at the stem until it was completely bare, eating little or none of the seed. Poor Jakey didn't used to even get a chance to eat any of the millet, unless he picked it out of the bottom of the cage. This thing slows Stella down considerably and she doesn't guard it from Jake the way she would a bare spray. A great solution if you have a millet monster like I do!

I currently have a wire hanger unbent by my feeder and use it to free it up now and then no big deal just needs to be done

Very easy to add seed a good design - just not perfect
